I’ve given in and sought sub-terrestrial employment at the local train station bathroom…yep, you heard it right. I figured if was gong to get fu*cked on a regular basis, from now on it’ll be on MY terms. I at least qualify my clients in advance, and given today’s market, I require a mandatory biological screening with every reference. Senator Larry Craig be forewarned…this ain’t your daddy’s bathroom stall anymore! x}

In other news, I posted a video I captured a few years ago…some buddies in the AWESOME prog-rock band Mongrel played a show in Chicago…and I was lucky enough to behold the fury, and catch it on tape. I’d been meaning to get this up for quite a while…life sure has a way of obscuring so many pertinent details in one’s existence. But this bold undertaking made me realize what a crap job I’d been doing with my video clips on this site. So, now all my video posts are Quicktime/iPhone friendly…I’ve gone back and tried to update them all…hopefully I didn’t miss anything. =)

I’ll report more from the grime and pit of the East Coast’s cesspools. It won’t be pretty, but somebody’s gotta do it.

For good reason, this fish isn’t cheap. It only prospers in the southern hemisphere, which means it has to travel a long way to America’s kitchens. When the fillet is raw, the texture is very tough. Once cooked, this fish’s meat is “like buttah“.

My sister asked me for this recipe recently, and I figured the world deserves great food! =}

Ingredients:

1. 1 to 1½ pound of Chilean sea bass (enough for about 4 people)
2. ½ cup of low sodium soy sauce
3. 3 garlic cloves, pressed or chopped
4. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
5. Freshly squeezed juice from 2 limes
6. 4 tablespoons of fresh chopped cilantro
7. 6″ piece of ginger root, chopped or grated (use a potato peeler to remove skin first)
8. This dish goes well with steamed vegetables, white rice, or bread. If you like wine with your meal, pick your favorite white

Directions:

1. In a blender, mix well the following ingredients:
   1. soy sauce
   2. garlic
   3. olive oil
   4. lime juice
   5. cilantro
   6. ginger
2. Preheat the oven at 350° F. Place the blended mixture in a container with the Sea Bass, allow it to marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, then remove the fish from the marinate
3. In a 9″x9″ baking dish, place some of the marinate into it (just enough to coat the bottom), then place the fish in the dish, then bit of marinate on top of the fish
4. Bake the fish at 350° F for 30 minutes
5. Server the fish with a bit of the marinate on top, or on the side, however you prefer

I’ve been a big fan of Divx over the years. But the recent update for OS X, Divx V7, was a disappointment. I at least, can’t find a way to disable the Divx logo watermark that is easily turned off in the Windows version of Divx. I’ll gladly be proven wrong…but for now I reverted back to Divx Version 6 for Mac OS X.

Wow…a legal loophole has got plenty of people pretty angry, and not just in Rhode Island. “While teens can’t pump gas or climb ladders on the job because of protections in workplace laws, there is nothing on the books keeping 16- and 17-year-olds from stripping – as long as they’re home by 11:30 on school nights.”
